The City of Piqua is recruiting candidates for the position of full-time Police Officer. The Piqua Police Department is looking for Entry Level applicants as well as Lateral applicants to fill existing vacancies. There are currently 8 open positions.
Entry level applicants should fill out an application with the City of Piqua and must take an entry level test offered through the National Testing Network (www.nationaltestingnetwork.com).
Lateral applicants should fill out an application with the City of Piqua. No entry level test is required.
Minimum Requirements: Applicants must be at least 21 years of age but less than 35 years of age at appointment (no maximum age for Lateral applicants), possess a High School Diploma or GED, be a US Citizen, and possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License.
Prior to appointment, a candidate must submit and successfully pass an extensive background investigation, truth verification test, pre-employment drug screen, physical and psychological examination. Current base salary range for this position is $32.89/hr to $40.90/hr (plus the potential for an additional 3% Master Police Officer certification or college education incentive).
