We are Secure Community Network (SCN), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) serving as the official safety and security organization of the Jewish community in North America. The PEO will oversee, lead, and support and ad hoc program reviews for compliance with the National Jewish Community Security Standards (NJCSS) and review program effectiveness for SCN programs. The PAE works with leaders to customize, implement, and monitor best-practice strategies for effective security programs. This position requires 24/7 response capability, both remote and physical, to community incidents and other critical needs. Extensive travel is an anticipated component of the position.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

-Be responsible for the development, deployment, and implementation of NJCSS. Includes assisting the iterative review of NJCSS to facilitate updating standards, measures, and the evaluation rubric and process through lessons-learned and feedback from stakeholders and partners.
-Manage the development, deployment, and implementation of SCN program impact and effectiveness measures. Includes the consistent review of measures to facilitate the updating of metrics, and the evaluation process through feedback and other assessments.
-Be accountable for overseeing evaluations of community security programs compliance with NJCSS, reporting of results, and implementation of remediation plans.
-Oversee evaluations of SCN community security programs for program impact and effectiveness, reporting of results, and implementation of remediation plans.
-Manage the development and maintenance of effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, communities, agencies, and Jewish Federation executives and partners for evaluation of compliance and continuous improvement of the NJCSS and SCN program impact.
-Formally respond to assistance requests focusing on program development and improvement.?
-Regularly lead information and planning meetings related to NJCSS, SCN program impact and effectiveness measures, and related programs.
-Conduct security consultations, assessments, training sessions, tabletop exercises, webinars, donor meetings, law enforcement meetings, and other community engagements to support programs.?

REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:

-A bachelor's degree from an accredited university and at least 10 years of law enforcement experience and leadership.
-Graduation from a recognized law enforcement academy (or relevant, approved United States Military Occupational Specialty (MOS), with Honorable Discharge); certified as a sworn peace officer, either currently sworn or retired in good standing.
-Experience in leading and conducting program effectiveness reviews, compliance audits, or internal evaluation processes.
-Familiarity with national emergency management interoperability requirements, procedures, and protocols.
-Excellent leadership and decision-making abilities; outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to design, develop, and implement: Program Standards, compliance evaluation rubrics and processes, program impact and effectiveness measures, Standard Operating Procedures, organizational policies, and internal and public-facing products.
-Ability to distill and document best-practices from personal experience, program evaluations, lessons-learned, and standards and practices of comparable security programs.
-Ability to effectively work in a dynamic, growing, and fast-paced organization.
-Ability to pass an extensive background check
-Ability to obtain a security clearance.
-Ability to exercise discretion when handling confidential information.
-Ability to make timely decisions in dynamic situations, often lacking complete information.
-Strong presentation design and public speaking skills are a must.
-Skilled in Microsoft Office and Adobe suite of services.
-Preferred experience in business development.
-Ability to respond to after-hours and emergency requests in a timely fashion.
