EDUCATION
Required

Bachelor's degree (preferably in business administration, criminal justice, public administration, or related field)

Preferred

Master's degree in related field

WORK EXPERIENCE
Required

10 years progressively responsible law enforcement experience that includes 4 or more years of experience in a supervisory/leadership role

Preferred

3 years university law enforcement experience
Experience supervising a workforce represented through a collective bargaining process

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
Required

Valid driver's license and ability to be insured by Indiana University Upon Date of Hire
ILEA (Indiana Law Enforcement Academy) certified Upon Date of Hire
Current and continued certification in university required courses such as CPR, AED, Blood Borne Pathogens, IDACS, etc. Upon Date of Hire
Complete and maintain all required annual law enforcement training and certifications as prescribed by IUPD, Indiana State Law, and the Indiana Law enforcement Training Board (ILETB) Upon Date of Hire
Current firearms qualification Upon Date of Hire

Preferred

Completion of a nationally recognized law enforcement executive development program (i.e. FBI Academy) Upon Date of Hire
Completion of ILETB Certified Instructor Training Upon Date of Hire
