Rev. Dr. Kimberly Lewis-Davis accepted her call to ministry in 2007, ordained in 2016 and serves as a deacon in full connection with the United Methodist Church, Northern Illinois Conference. She remains actively engaged in ministry throughout the Northern Illinois Conference, where she serves on the Board of Ordained Ministry as Deacon Registrar and on the Lake South District Board of Ordained Ministry. The Board of Ordained Ministry oversees clergy formation for candidates seeking ordination, ensuring fitness for ministry in the United Methodist Church.
Before her current pastoral appointment at First UMC of Evergreen Park, Rev. Dr. Lewis-Davis served as pastor at Woodside UMC, in Riverside, Illinois. Her commitment to service and ministry spans more than three decades. In addition to her pastoral ministry, she is a 23- year veteran Chicago Police Officer and serves as one of the Department Chaplains.
Kimberly earned a Master of Divinity from Chicago Theological Seminary and an undergraduate degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She earned a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Care and Counseling from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. Her doctoral work focuses on strengthening law enforcement marriages by examining the challenges that couples face. She also earned a certificate to be a Death Doula from Iliff School of Theology in Denver, Colorado, reflecting her commitment to compassionate end-of -of-life care, spiritual support and pastoral presence.
Kimberly serves as Chapter Chaplain of the Chicago Metropolitan Chapter of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. She is married to Mark Davis, a retired Chicago Police Officer. They have two young adult children.
