Associate Member Representative

Dr. Kenneth Terrell enjoyed a stellar 22-year career with AT&T as an Engineer. After retirement, Dr. Terrell pursued a second career in law enforcement and later joined the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office. Possessing the discipline, business acumen and characteristics of a life-long learner, Kenneth quickly promoted to Senior Sergeant of the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office. He also obtained certification as an instructor with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.

Sergeant Terrell continues to serve by joining The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement. Senior Sergeant Terrell has thoroughly immersed himself with NOBLE as an Associate Member, serving as Chairman of the Ways & Means Committee serving on the NOBLE National Finance Committee; Greater North Texas Chapter Treasurer; Region V Treasurer and currently serves as NOBLE National Associate Member Representative. Senior Sergeant Terrell also assists with developing associate member initiatives, such as the Associate Member Roundtable under the NOBLE National C.A.R.E.S. initiative.

Senior Sergeant Terrell has tied his love for public service with his desire to serve his community. He is a founding partner of Texas Community Learning Center (TCLC) where the mission is “to develop effective, results-based programs that improve student’s progress in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, improve student year-round academic progress and improves the role of mentors in the lives of at-risk students at all levels”. A non-profit organization, TCLC is partnering with local education agencies, other nonprofit organizations, civic groups, employers, students, and their families.

Senior Sergeant Terrell earned his bachelor’s in engineering and marketing, MBA in Finance and Ph.D. in International Management. He is the proud father of three sons: Sean, Joshua and Jonathan Terrell
