Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position

This position may be located in Chicago, IL., Des Moines, IA., Olathe, KS or Moline, IL per the hiring manager’s discretion. This may be dependent on the successful candidate’s background, experience, and proficiency.

This position is eligible for a partial telework work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

Your Responsibilities

As a Manager, Global ES&P (Enterprise Security & Preparedness) U.S. & Canada for John Deere Worldwide Headquarters located in Moline, IL, you will…

• Be responsible for proactively managing complex security improvement programs across the enterprise
• Develop and implement procedures to obtain, maintain, secure, analyze, account for, and provide information from assessment reports across the region and globe
• Provide strategic direction and manage the output within United States and Canada
• Be responsible for executing enterprise risk and security programs requirement at John Deere sites and future locations

What Skills You Need

• Ability to lead confidential inquiries into ethics and compliance matters is a critical element of the position
• Ability to handle multiple projects and/or tasks
• Knowledge about current criminal and civil laws and procedures at the local, state, and federal levels
• Knowledge about security systems and related technical information
• Knowledge and experience in conducting investigations and security assessments
• 7 or more years knowledge and leadership experience managing security operations and/or law enforcement matters for a large corporation, governmental entity, or organization. (Regional and local contract security services will directly or indirectly report to this position and cross-functional task forces will look to this person for guidance.)

What Makes You Stand Out

• Awareness of political, social, and economic environment of the country/region where John Deere facilities are located and understanding of international affairs
• Experience in law enforcement (especially in investigation and/or management areas), private security, or specialized military training
• Experience working with company senior leadership
• Managerial experience, which includes leadership, issue management, motivation and/or team building
• Experience developing and maintaining relationships with regulatory or government agencies and/or industry associations at the level appropriate for the job
• Experience interacting with governmental agencies
• Ability to distill technical information into clear, concise communication products to various audiences
• Ability to handle multiple projects and/or tasks and communicate clearly to multiple stakeholders


Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement, Business/Management, Security or Risk Management or equivalent related work experience
