Looking for experienced police leaders as applicants to serve the community and assist in overseeing the department of 57 sworn Officers and 22 non-sworn staff at two police stations. The ideal candidate will have proven law enforcement leadership and managerial experience, and strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Must be at the rank of second-line supervisor or higher with a minimum of ten years of experience in policing, and at least five years of experience in management and supervision. Applicants having completed college level work with a baccalaureate degree in Police Science, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Police Administration or related field is preferred. Accreditation must be from the North Central Association of Colleges & Schools or an equivalent accrediting body. Candidate must be able to respond within forty-five (45) minutes to their work location when called for emergency situations, in accordance with city policy.
