The current Chief is retiring after serving almost thirty-three (33) years with the department, with the last two and a half (2 ½ ) as Chief. Burlington is the largest community in, and the county seat of Des Moines County. Located in southeast Iowa, the community is beautifully situated on the bluffs of the Mississippi River along the border with Illinois.
