Director of Public Safety – Ferris State University.

Leads the University’s team of public safety staff to provide safety, security, and protection for the entire FSU Big Rapids community. Directs, manages, and implements a comprehensive crime prevention, complaint investigation, emergency response, law enforcement and parking services program in compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations emphasizing a community policing philosophy to ensure public safety in the university community. Reports to the Vice President of Administration and Finance.

Required: BA degree and MCOLES certification required or the ability to obtain within 90 days. At least eight years of progressively responsible leadership and management experience in law enforcement or security.
