First NOBLE Intern in Honor of Stephen Ballard (click here for more information)

The Office of Lt. Governor Bethany Hall-Long announced Morgan Johnson as the first Cpl. Stephen J. Ballard National Organization of Black Law Enforcement intern.

Johnson is a Senior who is majoring in Psychology at Delaware State University and president of DSU’s NOBLE Collegiate Chapter. The internship is named in honor of Ballard who died in the line of duty.

In honor of the legacy he left, the Office of the Lt. Governor, in partnership with NOBLE, and Ballard’s wife Louise, started the Cpl. Stephen J. Ballard Internship.


Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester held a criminal justice roundtable on the Delaware State University (DSCU) campus on Sunday. Some of our DSU Collegiate NOBLE members were on the panel and they had the chance to speak to her about their views of what was wrong with the Criminal Justice system and ideas for change. She discussed their ideas about creating a more just and equal criminal justice system. Congresswoman Blunt said, “I was incredibly inspired by them and the thoughtful ideas they brought to the table.
